A provincial environmental compliance agency engaged Codeview Digital to automate their monthly and quarterly compliance reporting processes. The Challenge

Designed an automated reconciliation workflow that cross-validates data across all source systems, flags discrepancies for analyst review, and maintains a complete audit trail of every data transformation from source to published figure.
Report Generation Automation
Implemented templated report generation producing both the formatted compliance reports for regulatory submission and the underlying structured datasets for trend analysis. Replaced manual assembly with a pipeline that completes in under 4 hours.
Historical Data Migration
Extracted and structured 3 years of historical compliance data from archived PDF reports into a queryable dataset, enabling the trend analysis and year-over-year comparisons the agency had never been able to produce.
Quality Assurance Framework
Built automated validation rules based on historical data patterns and regulatory thresholds, catching anomalies and potential errors before reports are generated. This reduced the reliance on manual review for data quality.
Analyst Dashboard & Monitoring
Delivered a monitoring dashboard giving the reporting team real-time visibility into pipeline status, data freshness, reconciliation results, and flagged exceptions. This shifted the analyst role from data assembly to quality oversight.
